Girl's Trip Review

Watch this movie with your girlfriends! This movie literally had me laughing throughout the whole movie. But this wasn’t just a movie you could laugh through, it also has some relatable themes. I can think of most of my friends who I have not hung out with in in moths for the sheer reason that we have different life paths.
After watching this movie, it made me want to call up the friends who I had lost touch with but I didn’t because I know that they were not real friendships like the ones I have made in college but I was expecting this movie just to be funny and it ended up going above and beyond my expectations. Now you could go and watch this movie and just laugh the entire time but you could also learn some valuable lessons like friends matter more than boys, always try to enjoy life, and always have those people that you can tell anything.
Girls trip is truly a movie for the girls. It had lots of underlying themes of your power. This speech towards the end of the movie was very empowering and I feel that a lot of women will be able to relate to the message of the speech because the women that says it is talking about dealing a cheating partner and staying in the relationships because it felt safer and not tell her friends and letting those relationship fade into the background because she knew her friends would be able to tell something was wrong.  I honestly got chocked up and teary eyed at the speech because even though I have never been in this type of relationship I have had friends who have been in these toxic relationships and they would not listen to us just him.
I give Girl’s Trip overall 4 stars and recommend this movie to everyone. It has some powerful messages and will make you laugh.

Spiderman: Homecoming Review

I think that this has to be my favorite Marvel movie. It was just amazing. I will admit it was a little slow but I can forgive that one flaw because it more than excels in other categories. I found this movie to be very relatable even though I am a 19-year-old girl, I think that when a movie takes place in high school that almost anyone can find the characters relatable because we have all been there. So even though I will never be Spiderman, I can relate to Peter Parker and his high school problems. This was definitely a coming of age movie because Peter though out the while movie was trying to figure out his place, he wants, though out this whole movie, to be an Avenger and go on dangerous missions since Germany but he thinks that no one is taking him seriously.
Even though this movie takes place after Civil War and Spiderman is already introduced to the world, I really wish that we knew about his origin story’s. All of the Sideman’s follow the basic getting bit by a spider but the other movies had a storyline that made sense for them to be bit and then have the antagonists they had. I also would like to know what happened to his uncle because they never specify how he died just that Aunt May super over protective.
I am a little sad that Zendaya’s part in this movie was just to provided comic relief (she did a great job though) but I am excited to see more of her. If you haven’t read it anywhere else or didn’t not catch it she is going to be perter next love interest, she calls herself MJ at the end of the movie (Mary Jane!!). I am also convinced that she already knows that Peter is Spiderman because she is very observant and quiet and those people are always the first to know things.
I am really excited to see what the Marvel movies have in store for Spiderman (2019 cant come soon enough). I am curious to see if Spiderman will appear in the Infinity Wars movies because I am not that familiar with the comics story line and at the end of the movie Peter wanted to continue to be a neighborhood friendly Spiderman and not an Avenger.
Anyways, I really recommend you watch this movie, it is exceptional and a great feel-good movie! And Tom Holland is the best Spiderman and Peter Parker! And he is really hot!!<3 Just saying.

Summer TV Roundup

Hello lovely people. Its summer! Which means that I can get caught up on shows I was not able to watch during the school year (thank you Hulu and Netflix). There are also a few tv shows that are on the summer season that I am excited to watch!

On Air

Shadowhunters (Freeform)-Mondays @ 8/7c
This summer is the season 2b airing of Shadowhunters. I am very excited to see how this show is going to go. They have not really stuck with the books (can anyone say Pretty Little Liars) but they have done a good job if you forget about them.

Still Star Crossed (ABC)- Sundays @ 10/9c
This show is about the aftermath of Romeo and Juliet and how their family and the city of Verona will fair. I really like this show, eben if it has not been coming on air every week. The story line is really interesting so I can wait.

The Bold Type (FreeForm)- Tuesdyas @ 8/7c
Advertised as being inspired by the women of Cosmo, the show follows three women who are trying to work their way to the top of the magazine they work at. I am really excited to watch this show, it looks really funny and totally relatable.

Teen Wolf (MTV)-Sundays@ 8/7c staring July 30th
The final 10 episodies of Teen wolf that will ever be made are aring at the end of the summer and I can honestly say I can not wait and I can at the same time. Once the show ends it will be very bitter sweet because I started watching this show when I was a freshman in high school and I am about to be a sophomore in college, I have grown along with characters.

Descendants 2- (Disney)- July 22
So, I know that this is not a tv show but I loved the first Descendants and honestly this is the best thing that Disney has produced in a long time (bedsides Girl Meets World) and I think everyone should see it. It is about the kids of the original Disney villains who were locked away on an island apart from the good people and they got a chance to live with the good kids and they change and in this movie, they go back to the island of the villains.

Shows I’m watching on Netflix
  • Quantico (Season2)
  • Criminal Minds
  • Reign ( The final Season)
  • Agents of Shield (Season 4)
  • Glow (Season 1)
  • Jane the Virgin (Season 3)
  • Scandal (Season 5-6)
  • Riverdale (Season 1)

Shows I’m Watching on Hulu
  • UnReal (Season 2)
  • The Good Wife (Season 1-6)
  • The Handmaids Tale (Season 1)
  • Rizzoli & Isles (The Last Season)
  • Famous In love (season 1)
  • Shades of Blue (Season 2)
  • Devious Maids (Season 1-3)

Throne of Glass Book Review

Can I just say that I this book is amazing and everyone should read it. I literally could not wait to read this book that after I ordered the paperback copy and it was taking too long to be shipped to me, I bought the e-book on my phone and read the whole thing before the actual book got to me.
So I am also currently reading dividing Eden and this book just read smoother, if that makes sense. It was really hard to put this book down and the story just drew me in. I was not surprised to read that this book was developed over 10 years, it was really well thought out and developed.
My favorite thing about this book was that the author gave us bits and pieces of characters back stories and the history of how they got to this point. She weaved this story while giving us some back story and leaving us to wonder what she was not telling us. I think that this aspect really strengthened the story because everyone was hiding secrets an you didn’t know how to trust someone’s perspective because they all ha things to hide.
I was honestly heartbroken that Celena was such a realist and she never got to truly explore her relationship with Dorian because she knew she could not sacrifice the part of herself that would be needed to be involved with a family member of the king. And it did not help that the author put in the point of view of Dorian and he seemed to be so in love with her, it truly broke my heart.
This is probably the best book that I have read this summer and I would whole-heartily recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
